About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Expert System Integration Specialist to join our team at Canadian National Railway. As a key member of our Information & Technology (I&T) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment of advanced infrastructure, telecom, Industrial IoT, software development, application, and technology solutions, systems, and services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the Container orchestration and ensure seamless integration with third-party systems.
  • Create new optimization strategies for infrastructure monitoring, leveraging internal and external scripts.
  • Develop innovative ways to extract information from applications for enhanced monitoring and data analysis.
  • Utilize log management for pattern recognition and anomaly detection.
  • Design and implement cloud architecture patterns for availability, data management, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain virtualized and containerized infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Build and maintain process documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with development teams to leverage cloud-native architectures and new applications.
  • Design and deliver workshops and labs on cloud technologies, cloud operations, containers, orchestrators, and microservices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in cloud computing, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (Azure, Google), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Node.js, JSON, Java) and scripting languages (Bash).
  • Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and protocols, as well as IoT and rail industry experience.
  • DevOps certification and experience with Azure, Google, and Kubernetes certifications.
