Job Title: Disability Case Coordinator I

Job Summary:

The University Health Network is seeking a skilled Disability Case Coordinator I to join our Occupational Health & Safety Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees by actively managing and coordinating disability cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee absences due to non-complex illness or injury
  • Coordinate the return to work process for occupational and non-occupational cases
  • Advise management and union on appropriate job placements
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements for a safe and healthy work environment
  • Perform communication and administrative responsibilities
  • Perform cross-functional duties as assigned or requested

Qualifications:

  • Completion of or actively enrolled in attaining credentials in Disability Management and/or Occupational Health and Safety
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in complex disability management, return to work planning, WSIB injury/illness claims, unionized environments, supporting multiple stakeholders
  • Completion or in pursuit of CDMP designation
  • Understanding of principles of the duty to accommodate, health and safety legislation, HOODIP
