The salary range for this position is CAD $26.09/Hr. - CAD $27.75/Hr.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Clinical Assistant to support our healthcare team.

Vancouver Coastal Health is in search of a Certified Medical Office Assistant to provide essential support in a clinical environment. This role is vital in ensuring the effective operation of our Primary Health Care Clinic/Program.

As a Clinical Assistant, you will report to the Manager or designated supervisor, performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to facilitate the seamless operation of the clinic.

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Completion of Grade 12. Graduation from a recognized Medical Office Assistant program. A minimum of one (1) year of recent, relevant experience in clinical medical office support, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills & Competencies

Familiarity with clinical policies, procedures, and objectives. Knowledge of community resources and support agencies. Understanding of office procedures and practices. Proficient business writing skills. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to conduct basic medical tests and accurately document results. Capacity to respond independently and effectively to urgent situations. Proficient typing skills of 5,000 keystrokes per hour. Excellent customer service and communication abilities. Physical capability to perform the duties associated with this role. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational skills to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and colleagues. Skill in dealing tactfully and effectively with diverse individuals. Proficient in using various office equipment and software applications.

Additional Information

The work schedule, including days off and work location, may vary based on operational needs. Successful candidates may be required to undergo a Criminal Records Review Check.
