Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the General Counsel and will oversee legal issues for Samsung Research Canada. Key responsibilities include offering legal counsel on intellectual property protection, employment regulations, drafting agreements, and ensuring adherence to legal standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with intellectual property and technology-related matters
  • Provide guidance on employment law and conduct investigations
  • Draft and negotiate various contracts
  • Advise on privacy regulations and data governance
  • Stay informed on changes in legislation
  • Conduct legal research and offer sound advice

Qualifications

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution
  • Active member of the Law Society in good standing

Knowledge:

  • Strong expertise in Intellectual Property, Employment Law, Contract Law, Privacy Law, and Corporate Compliance

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate commercial law
