Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Scrum Master with a background in the insurance sector. The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile practices and foster continuous improvement for cross-functional teams. You will ensure the Scrum framework is followed, promote a culture of collaboration, and remove any obstacles that hinder the team's progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives;
  • Scrum Framework Management: Guide teams in adhering to Scrum principles and practices;
  • Team Collaboration: Encourage cross-functional teamwork between developers, testers, business analysts, and product owners;
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and eliminate obstacles that could delay the team's delivery of value;
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team;
  • Metrics & Reporting: Track and communicate team velocity, sprint/release progress, and other key Agile metrics;
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with product owners, managers, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency;
  • Risk Management: Utilize your insurance industry experience to identify potential risks in product delivery and provide mitigation strategies;
  • Coaching & Mentorship: Mentor team members on Agile practices and help them become more autonomous and self-organized;
  • Facilitate Scaling: Support Agile practices at the team and organizational level, and assist in scaling Agile practices where necessary;
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field;
  • Certification: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent. Advanced certifications such as CSP-SM or PMI-ACP are a plus;
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach;
  • Prior experience working in the insurance industry is required;
  • Proven experience in managing Agile teams within a software development environment;
Technical Skills
  • Solid understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban);
  • Familiarity with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar;
  • Knowledge of insurance-specific software and workflows is a plus;
Preferred Skills
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities;
  • Ability to navigate complex insurance regulations and processes;
