We are seeking to expand our dynamic team with the addition of Technical Specialists. This role is integral to the Digital Collaboration team, which focuses on promoting productivity and collaboration through modern digital tools and providing comprehensive support across various productivity domains:

Reporting to the Manager of Digital Collaboration, the Technical Specialists will provide ongoing operational support for SharePoint sites, workflows, and oversee Power Platform environments. This includes managing the lifecycle of these environments, ensuring adherence to security and governance best practices, and supporting the deployment of Power Platform solutions and other Microsoft 365 collaborative tools utilized across government.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and update SharePoint sites and Power Automate workflows.
  • Integrate Microsoft Flow/Power Automate within SharePoint.
  • Create workflows that enhance SharePoint functionality.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain Power Platform environment components.
  • Ensure the overall health, security, and efficiency of Power Platform environments.
  • Collaborate with team members to manage Power Apps requests and provision access as needed.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to Power Platform users and citizen developers.
  • Stay informed about the latest Power Platform capabilities to recommend best practices.
  • Contribute to the Power Platform Centre of Excellence by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Take ownership of operational tasks, including issue investigation, evidence analysis, documentation, process mapping, and effective communication.
  • Advise Senior Management on usage trends and best practices for resource management.
  • Assist IT and business teams in translating client challenges into technical solutions.
  • Support analysts during workshops to clarify requirements and technical capabilities.
  • Deliver results using agile methodologies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, candidates should have graduated from a recognized Information Technology program; an equivalent combination of training and experience may also be considered.

  • Experience with SharePoint, Power Automate, PowerApps, and Power Platform.
  • Strong understanding of Power Platform components and functionalities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including stakeholder management and public speaking.
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational priorities and ambiguous situations.
  • Capacity to research and quickly assimilate new technologies and concepts.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, ITIL processes, and IT security policies in government.

Certifications in Microsoft 365 (such as MS-900) and Power Platform (such as PL-900, PL-100, PL-200, PL-400) are considered assets.

We will evaluate qualifications and competencies through various assessment methods, including written examinations, standardized tests, interviews, and reference checks.
