Job Title: Medical Care Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Care Assistant to join our team at Chartwell Villa Saguenay résidence pour retraités. As a Medical Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Prepare and serve meals, ensuring residents' dietary needs are met
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols
  • Respond to call signals, providing prompt assistance to residents
  • Administer first aid in emergency situations, following established protocols
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a long-term care facility
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
