Job Title: Kitchen Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to join our team at Salando Enterprises Inc.

Job Summary:

The Kitchen Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that food is prepared and served to the highest standards. This is a permanent position with a variable schedule, requiring 32 to 42 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef
  • Order supplies and maintain inventory
  • Train other workers
Requirements:
  • College education
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in restaurant/food services management
  • Supervisory experience with a team of 5-10 people
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
  • Certifications in First Aid, WHMIS, Smart Serve, Food Safety, and Safe Food Handling
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking. The work site is a food service establishment with a noisy and hot environment.
