Job Summary:
The Chinook School Division No. 211 is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Casual Secretary. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the school office, providing administrative support to the principal and staff, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage the school office, including reception duties, phone calls, and correspondence.
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Assist with financial functions, including bank deposits, petty cash reports, and budget information.
- Support the principal and staff with tasks such as attendance tracking, student records, and report preparation.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
