About the Role

Viking Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team in maintaining our outdoor spaces. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring our landscapes are well-manicured and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Landscape Constructions: Collaborate with our landscape construction team to build and install outdoor features such as gardens, patios, and walkways.
  • Remove Litter and Garbage: Maintain a clean and safe environment by removing litter and garbage from our outdoor spaces.
  • Apply Fertilizers: Apply fertilizers and other plant care products to promote healthy plant growth and maintain the aesthetic appeal of our landscapes.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on our landscape maintenance equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Write Daily Progress Reports: Document daily progress and tasks completed to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Operate and Maintain Landscape Maintenance Equipment: Safely operate and maintain a variety of landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other machinery.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Repetitive Tasks: Perform repetitive tasks such as mowing, trimming, and pruning to maintain our outdoor spaces.
  • Physically Demanding: Work in a physically demanding environment, requiring manual dexterity and the ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking: Spend time sitting, standing, and walking while performing tasks, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Term: Permanent: This is a permanent, full-time position with a regular schedule of 40 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace, and proficiency in English is required.
