Island Health is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their team at the Comox Valley Hospital. This is a full-time opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia services for Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, and Orthopaedics
- Assist with emergency intubations in the ER and ICU
- Run a consultation clinic and an out-of-OR position designated as Rover
- Recent (within 6 months) paediatric (2 yrs and older) and obstetrical experience or a plan to update these skills
- Ability to work a weekday call schedule with mandatory on-site coverage
- Shortlisted applicants must spend a minimum of 1 week with the department as a locum
- May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidy agreement (RSA)
- Recruitment Incentive: up to a maximum of $10, (pro-rated based on FTE)
- Relocation: up to a maximum of $15, (amount based on location relocating from)
- Fee Premium 6.93%
- CME payments of $ in years 3 and 4 and $ after 4 years
