Anesthesiologist Opportunity at Comox Valley Hospital

Island Health is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their team at the Comox Valley Hospital.
The Comox Valley Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility with 6 operating rooms, 5 of which are operational. Anesthesiologists at this hospital provide services for various specialties, including Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, and Orthopaedics.
Responsibilities include providing anesthesia for ECT and Cardioversion, assisting with emergency intubations in the ER and ICU, and running a consultation clinic and out-of-OR position designated as Rover.
Weekday call starts at and ends at, with mandatory on-site coverage until then. Weekend and stat calls are 24 hours, with mandatory on-site coverage from to.
Applicants must have recent pediatric and obstetrical experience or demonstrate a plan to update these skills.
Shortlisted applicants should plan to spend at least 1 week with the department as a locum.

- Relocation: up to a maximum of $15, (amount based on location relocating from)
- Fee Premium 6.93%,
- Annual Flat Fee $10,.77
