About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing nursing services to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observation and Recording: Observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects, and record medication's therapeutic and side effects observations in patient files.
  • Vital Signs and Monitoring: Take vital signs and monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy.
  • Education and Support: Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, and provide nursing services within defined scope of practice.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Education: Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work, and a college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.

Work Setting

This role will be based in a chronic or long-term care facility/centre, working 32.63 hours per week.
