About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Pro Vita Care Management. As a LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a nursing home setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Medications and ensure accurate dosing and administration.
  • Apply Aseptic Techniques to maintain a sterile environment and prevent infection.
  • Conduct Specimen Collection and process samples for laboratory analysis.
  • Monitor Nutritional Intake and ensure patients receive adequate nutrition.
  • Observe and Record Medication Side Effects and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Take Vital Signs and monitor patients' health status.
  • Clean and Sterilize Equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
  • Provide Pre-Operative and Post-Operative Care to patients undergoing surgery.
  • Monitor Established Respiratory Therapy and IV Therapy and adjust as needed.
  • Provide Safety and Health Education to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the province/territory of work.
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
  • CPR and First Aid Certificates.
  • Geriatrics Experience and knowledge of long-term care principles.
