Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Pro Vita. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observation and Documentation: Observe, monitor, document, and update information about residents' physical and psychological condition, care, and nursing procedures.
  • Personal Care: Provide and assist with personal care to residents as required.
  • Emergency Staff Scheduling: Support emergency staff scheduling, as required.
  • Infection Control: Ensure adherence to Infection Control Practices and provide education as required for Outbreak and basic infection control practices.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurses program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience recognized by the BCCNM.
  • Registration and Licensure: Holds an active registration with the BCCNM as an LPN.
  • Occupational First Aid: Maintain Occupational First Aide Level 1 status.
  • COVID-19 Vaccinations: Satisfactory proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • Criminal Record Check: Passes and complies with Ministry of Justice Criminal record Check upon hire and every 5 years thereafter.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Gerontological Experience: Gerontological experience preferred.
  • MDS Education: MDS education (Gold Care or Point Click Care).
