We are seeking a Continuing Care Assistant (PSW) to become a vital part of our Monarch Hall team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with hygiene and daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobility as per work assignments.
  • Collaborate with residents and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized Resident Care Plans.
  • Plan and implement resident leisure activities on a daily basis.
  • Perform light housekeeping duties as required.
  • Execute delegated nursing tasks in accordance with company policy and scope of practice.
  • Communicate and report relevant information regarding resident care or safety to the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • A valid Personal Support Worker Acute Care diploma or equivalent.
  • Flexibility to work various hours and shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
  • Valid CPR & First Aid Certification or BLS (required).
  • Advanced proficiency in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Alzheimer's and Dementia Care course is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience working with the elderly in long-term care or senior living environments is advantageous.
  • A passion for the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
