Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living tasks, including bathing, dressing, oral care, skin care, meals, and mobility as per the assigned duties.
- Collaborate with residents and interdisciplinary team members to develop individualized Resident Care Plans.
- Help plan and implement leisure activities for residents on a daily basis.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Execute delegated nursing tasks in accordance with company policies and scope of practice.
- Communicate and report pertinent information regarding resident care or safety to the Supervisor.
Qualifications
We value continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A valid Personal Support Worker Acute Care diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire.
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certification or BLS.
- Advanced proficiency in English; proficiency in French is an asset.
- Experience or training in Alzheimer's and Dementia Care is considered an asset.
- Previous experience working with the elderly in long-term care or senior living environments is advantageous.
- A genuine passion for the healthcare sector and commitment to ensuring seniors receive quality care and services.
