About the Opportunity
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and mobilizing;
- Collaborate with the resident and other members of the interdisciplinary team in the development of individualized care plans;
- Assist with light housekeeping duties and maintain a clean and safe environment;
- Perform delegated nursing acts according to company policy and scope of practice;
- Communicate and report relevant information regarding resident care or safety to Supervisor.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and support to our residents. You will possess:
- A valid Personal Support Worker diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
- Availability to work a minimum of 6 shifts per quarter, available to work all shift types and days of the week;
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire;
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certification or BLS (required);
- Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in French considered an asset;
- Alzheimer's and Dementia Care course considered an asset;
- Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset;
- A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
