About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Sunrise Freight Systems Inc. as an Equipment Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and inspecting heavy equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use your technical expertise to identify and diagnose issues with heavy equipment, including trucks and trailers.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required and make necessary adjustments or replacements.
  • Perform Maintenance and Repairs: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Adjust and Repair Truck- Trailer Systems: Work on parts and components of truck-trailer systems, including adjustments and replacements as needed.
  • Meet Manufacturers' Specifications: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance meet the manufacturers' specifications and standards.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
  • Work Hours: 40 to 50 hours per week are typical for this position.
