About the Role

A & S Express Inc. is seeking a skilled Transport Truck Trailer Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet of commercial transport trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on transport trucks and trailers, including adjustments, replacements, and testing of parts and components.
  • Estimating and Costing: Accurately estimate parts and labor costs for maintenance and repairs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance services on transport trucks and trailers, adhering to manufacturer recommendations and company policies.
  • Quality Control: Test and adjust units to specifications, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Complete reports to record problems and work performed, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, judgement, reliability, and a team player attitude.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-hour workweek. The work language is English.
