Job Summary: The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring that the production and mixing areas are fully operational during the assigned shift. This position is responsible for maintaining effective and efficient operations while upholding safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include training staff on production techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare adequately for the shift, providing clear instructions and targets to the team.
  2. Monitor and ensure that production targets are consistently met.
  3. Manage employee hours to minimize overtime.
  4. Facilitate ongoing training for both new and existing employees.
  5. Provide timely feedback regarding new hires to Human Resources and the Production Manager.
  6. Generate accurate production reports and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  7. Collaborate with departments such as Logistics, Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and HR to fulfill daily operational needs.
  8. Evaluate employee performance and implement disciplinary or reward measures in consultation with Human Resources.
  9. Enforce adherence to all company policies and procedures, including GMP, Quality, Food Safety, and Health & Safety.
  10. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-4 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • A positive and proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and WHMIS is essential.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience managing a team of over 10 employees.
  • Availability for weekends and overtime as required.
