Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the operational efficiency of the production and mixing areas during their shift. This role involves maintaining safety and quality standards while overseeing the training of staff in production techniques, safety protocols, and company policies. The Supervisor will also manage paperwork and operate various machinery as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare for the shift by communicating instructions and targets to the team.
- Monitor and ensure that production targets are achieved.
- Manage employee hours to minimize overtime.
- Provide ongoing training for new and existing employees.
- Offer timely feedback on employee performance to HR and management.
- Compile accurate production reports and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with departments such as Logistics, Quality, Sanitation, Maintenance, and HR.
- Evaluate employee performance and implement disciplinary actions or rewards as necessary.
- Adhere to and enforce all company policies and safety procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute.
- Experience with HACCP, GMP, and WHMIS is essential.
- Able to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous supervisory experience managing a team of 10 or more employees.
- Availability for weekends and overtime as needed.
- Team-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing tasks.
- Proactive in seeking innovative methods to enhance product quality.
- Detail-oriented, ensuring high standards in product quality.
Compensation and Benefits
