Position Overview:
We are a reputable commercial trucking consulting firm dedicated to maintaining high standards in safety and compliance within the trucking sector across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to US FMCSA/DOT and Canadian national safety code regulations across various provinces.
  • Oversee fleet and driver documentation to maintain compliance.
  • Manage the process for qualification renewals.
  • Assist in claim management in collaboration with insurance providers.
  • Support the driver recruitment process to ensure all candidates meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Facilitate automobile insurance renewals by providing necessary information.
  • Monitor driver Hours of Service (HOS) through ELD logs and driver files to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct audits and monitoring to verify compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the investigation of incidents that occur in the workplace.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents and provide statistical data to management and clients.
  • Manage CVOR events and compliance monitoring.
  • Maintain Driver Qualification Files and oversee the Drug and Alcohol Program.
  • Handle data entry for fleet maintenance records and driver orientation.
  • Report and follow up with drivers regarding any violations, tickets, accidents, injuries, claims, and other incidents.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance driver retention and address driver concerns.
  • Oversee the licensing of all commercial trucks and trailers, including annual renewals.
  • Assist with the renewal of various permits, including IFTA and HUT permits.
  • Order and manage special permits, driver abstracts, fuel cards, and bridge cards for border crossings.
  • Update records and generate reports as required.
  • Support the recruiting department to ensure the quality of drivers being onboarded.
  • Act as the primary contact for all accidents/incidents, coordinating with insurance companies.
  • CDL certification is considered an asset.
  • Be available for on-call duties to manage emergency situations.
  • Review and maintain Operating Authority Binders for new Owner Operators.
  • Establish and maintain master records of trucks, trailers, and drivers using TMS software.
  • Assist with additional safety and compliance functions as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Hours of Service and MTO and DOT regulations.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with trucking dispatch and related software is advantageous.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Availability to work weekends if necessary.
  • Experience with other trucking companies is beneficial.
  • Possession of a G License and a personal vehicle for travel.
  • General understanding of North American regions.
