- Advocate for the Digital & Data Engineering initiatives within the organization.
- Address network issues reported by users, ensuring thorough documentation of problems and solutions. Provide assistance in first and second level hardware and software support as necessary, and collaborate on resolving third level complex or unresolved issues.
- Oversee, support, and guarantee the operational integrity of mobile devices, Windows PCs, and MacBooks, including imaging and provisioning, while reporting any irregularities. Ensure the continuous availability and performance of the servers and network that underpin our systems, which may include some 'on-call' responsibilities.
- Manage and support the operational viability of jobsite network infrastructure, which includes configuring firewalls, switches, wireless access points, security cameras, VoIP phones, and other systems that may be specific to individual jobsites.
- Engage in Project Management responsibilities, which involve identifying business needs, sourcing quotes from vendors to fulfill requirements for new equipment, and other IT-related items such as printers, copiers, and digital displays.
- Handle project deployment tasks, including hardware setup and configuration, establishing AV rooms, and facilitating web conferences through platforms like MS Teams, Zoom, and Webex.
- Adhere to and uphold EllisDon IT policies, documentation standards, and best practices.
- Escalate technical challenges when necessary, deliver exceptional customer service, and remain informed about current IT trends and advancements.
- Comply with EllisDon IT Security best practices and contribute to the development of our Standard Operating Procedures library.
- Maintain accurate records within ServiceNow.
- Coordinate IT services and support for various job sites.
- Assist with corporate network maintenance tasks as needed.
Are you the right fit for this position?
- You possess a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field.
- Experience in desktop and mobile device support and/or IT network-related roles, including troubleshooting advanced issues, is preferred.
- A solid understanding of LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, and Ethernet is essential.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and Microsoft Certifications are advantageous.
- A valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required to facilitate IT services and support at job sites.
