Role Summary:

Responsible for the strategic design, planning, execution, and rollout of Parkland's Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Initiative. This role encompasses the development and implementation of a comprehensive project plan aimed at supplying and installing EV Chargers at designated locations within Parkland's Retail and Commercial Network across the country. The project will require collaboration with electrical utility providers and coordination with electrical engineers and contractors to ensure successful installation of EV Chargers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement the project strategy for installing EV Chargers at selected Parkland sites.
  • Collaborate with electrical utility providers to enhance existing electrical services to meet future demands.
  • Partner with procurement teams to create and assess requests for proposals for civil and electrical work necessary for service upgrades.
  • Engage with electrical engineering firms to design and execute upgrades to electrical services for EV Chargers as needed.
  • Oversee the project execution to enhance existing services at facilities involved in the EV Charging Initiative.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or certification in Electrical Design, Construction, or Engineering is preferred.

Essential Skills:

  • At least 5 years of project management experience, with a preference for candidates with a background in electrical utilities.
  • Experience in deploying EV Charging solutions is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in change management processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with proficient planning and time management capabilities.
  • Experience managing projects that include IT components.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
