Role Summary:
Responsible for the strategic design, planning, execution, and rollout of Parkland's Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Program. This role encompasses the development and implementation of a comprehensive project plan aimed at supplying and installing EV Chargers at designated locations within Parkland's Retail and Commercial Network across Canada. The project will necessitate collaboration with Electrical Utility providers and leadership of electrical engineers and contractors to ensure the successful design and upgrades for EV Charger installations nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement the project plan for the installation of EV Chargers at selected Parkland sites in Eastern Canada.
- Collaborate with Electrical Utility Providers to enhance existing Electrical Utility Services to meet future load demands.
- Partner with Procurement to draft and evaluate RFPs for civil and electrical work necessary for upgrading Electrical Utility Services.
- Engage with Electrical Engineering Firms in the design and execution of enhancements to Electrical Utility Services for EV Chargers as required.
- Oversee the execution of work necessary to upgrade existing offerings at facilities participating in the EV Charger Program.
Qualifications:
- Certification or Degree in Electrical Design, Construction, or Engineering is preferred.
Essential Requirements:
- At least 5 years of Project Management experience, with preference for candidates who have worked with electrical utilities.
- Experience in EV Charging deployments is highly desirable.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in Change Management.
- Robust analytical and procedural skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Highly organized with excellent planning and time management capabilities.
- Experience managing projects that include an IT component.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management/scheduling software.
