Position Overview

As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician at D & N Metals Co. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of our machinery. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy-duty equipment.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in heavy equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect machinery to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and other testing equipment to assess repair needs.
  • Manage parts inventory and order necessary components.
  • Adjust machinery and replace defective parts as needed.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation.
  • Conduct performance tests on repaired equipment to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks including cleaning and lubrication.
  • Service attachments and working tools effectively.
  • Verify and repair emission control systems.
  • Engage in other routine maintenance activities as required.
Work Environment
  • Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and perform manual tasks.
  • Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
