Job Summary

D & N Metals Co. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshooting and Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections and troubleshoot equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Parts Management: Order and maintain inventory of parts, ensuring that all necessary components are available for repairs and maintenance.
  • Equipment Repair and Maintenance: Adjust and repair or replace defective parts, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning within manufacturer specifications.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities, including test results and repair history.
  • Quality Control: Test repaired equipment to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications and that all repairs are of high quality.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and performing other necessary maintenance work.
  • Attachment and Tool Service: Service attachments and working tools, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning as intended.
  • Emission Control Systems: Verify and repair emission control systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform other routine maintenance tasks as required, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning as intended.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding work environment, requiring attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Physical Capabilities: Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform other physically demanding tasks as required.
