Position Overview:
The Real Estate division at Tim Hortons oversees a substantial portfolio of over 4,000 properties throughout Canada and the United States. This position offers a unique opportunity to take charge of the real estate assets in Western Canada for Tim Hortons. The role involves close collaboration with the Tim Hortons Development Team and the leadership within the Real Estate sector, influencing the strategic direction of our real estate assets across Canada and the US.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Tim Hortons real estate portfolio for Western Canada, with a primary focus on lease renewals.
- Negotiate lease renewals with external property owners, ensuring competitive market rates and favorable lease terms.
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with property owners, developers, and real estate brokers.
- Collaborate with legal advisors to finalize leases and amendments.
- Additional duties include supporting property acquisitions, sales, renovations, and the addition of drive-thru facilities.
- Prepare and present approval documents, updates, and recommendations to the Tim Hortons Real Estate Committee.
- Conduct ongoing market and property evaluations, including regular site inspections and market assessments.
- Work in tandem with the broader Tim Hortons Real Estate & Development Team and other relevant stakeholders.
- Represent the Tim Hortons brand to all stakeholders with professionalism and excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in business, real estate, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial real estate leasing is preferred.
- Proven experience in negotiating and drafting commercial lease agreements.
- Strong understanding of the commercial leasing landscape, including market rates, property owners, and large-scale developments in Canada, with a focus on Western Canada.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation abilities.
- A proactive approach and a strong ability to finalize deals.
