The BC Cancer Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Advancement Services Representative to join our team. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to our donors and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide timely and accurate processing of donations, including verifying information and answering donor inquiries
- Maintain a thorough understanding of CRA regulations and best practices for gift processing
- Prepare and proofread tax receipts and letters to donors in accordance with CRA rules and regulations
- Enter accurate and meaningful data into our database, utilizing various processes and technologies
- Assist with data cleanup and maintenance projects to ensure data hygiene
- Provide support to Development staff with inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform other administrative tasks as required, including mail distribution and visitor assistance
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, plus two years related experience in fundraising or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks and deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience with Raiser's Edge or other customer relationship management systems is an asset
- Competitive salary range: $47,000 - $52,000
- 4 weeks' vacation plus office closure between Christmas Eve and New Year's, as well as half days off before statutory holidays
- Comprehensive benefit package, including health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as participation in the Employee & Family Assistance Program
- Participation in the Municipal Pension Plan
