Maintenance Supervisor

At QSL, we are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team in Halifax. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all maintenance activities related to the upkeep of our equipment and facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal equipment availability and performance;
  • Lead a team of maintenance personnel to achieve operational objectives and maintain a safe working environment;
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to prioritize maintenance activities and allocate resources effectively;
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations;
  • Coach and mentor team members to develop their skills and adopt best practices;
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • College diploma or professional degree in mechanics, industrial or mechanical engineering, or any other relevant training;
  • 5 years of relevant experience in maintenance management or any other related field;
  • Experience in supervising personnel;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and asset management software;
  • Leadership, team spirit, and versatility;
  • Knowledge of forklifts, reach stackers, and conveyors is an asset.
