About the Beedie School of Business

The Office of Student Experience at the Beedie School of Business is responsible for developing and enhancing experiential learning opportunities within the undergraduate program. Collaborating closely with faculty and Student Services staff, we strive to create deeply engaging learning experiences that enable students to reflect on and deepen their understanding of essential business skills and competencies. Our team fosters a collaborative culture, remaining responsive to the evolving needs of the program, with a strong focus on continuously improving the student experience.

About the Role

The Manager, Experiential Learning plays a crucial role in leading undergraduate initiatives and activities that identify opportunities for new programming and build relationships. This position provides program development support across the undergraduate faculty to advance students' identification, development, and articulation of skill development, ultimately improving the quality of student learning experiences and graduation outcomes.

The Manager will:

  • Plan, develop, and implement experiential education strategies.
  • Develop, adopt, oversee, and implement policies and procedures on a range of experiential education initiatives.
  • Plan, develop, and monitor the experiential education budget.
  • Manage and provide strategic direction, training, and support to the Experiential Education Team.
  • Provide leadership to faculty members and staff regarding University and Beedie School of Business best practices for experiential education.

Qualifications

We seek candidates with a deep understanding of experiential learning principles and practices, particularly as they apply to business education within a post-secondary environment. Exceptional public speaking and communication skills are essential, along with strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, or a related field, and five years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful experiential learning programs.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
