About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at RV REMODELING LTD. as a key member of our construction crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Design and implement layouts in accordance with building codes, using precision measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware, ensuring precise fit and finish
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion and quality control
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, promoting a culture of excellence and safety
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address any issues or concerns
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, adhering to industry standards and best practices
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced construction environment, with frequent bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Combine sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday, with occasional heavy lifting and handling
  • Manage a high workload, with regular overtime required to meet project deadlines
  • Work in a physically demanding role, with a focus on safety and injury prevention
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and client satisfaction
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
