About the Role:
RV REMODELING LTD. is seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry, from preparation to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for carpentry projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools and ensuring accuracy.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Scheduling and coordinating work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Supervising other workers and ensuring they adhere to safety protocols and company standards.
- Estimating costs and materials, ensuring budget adherence.
- Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically demanding work, requiring stamina and endurance.
Personal Suitability:
- Accurate and reliable, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Efficient interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Judgement and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Client focus, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Experience:
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
