Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Planning Advisor to join our team at Enbridge. As a key member of our Liquids Pipelines organization, you will play a critical role in supporting the capital optimization and planning processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and budgeting process for future capital spending, ensuring accurate forecasting and analysis.
  • Develop and communicate capital optimization process requirements across the Liquids Pipeline organization.
  • Collaborate with the Liquids Financial Planning & Analysis teams to provide guidance on capital budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant internal and external accounting requirements, policies, and guidelines.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from other teams, including FP&A, Investment Review, Tax, and Business Development.
Requirements
  • University degree or technical college diploma in a financial subject area and 4 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Recognized professional accounting designation or Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, complemented by excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills with advanced or expert knowledge of Excel. Experience with Microsoft Power BI is considered an asset.
  • Self-motivated contributor able to build relationships at various levels throughout the organization, valuing the opinions of others and respecting diversity.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, combined with a results-oriented business approach.

Physical Requirements
  • Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
Mental Requirements
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.
  • Ability to understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis.
  • Ability to make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area.
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
  • Ability to complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports.
  • Ability to communicate with individuals via telephone.
