About the Role

Fidelity Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning Advisor to join our team. As a Senior Financial Planning Advisor, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing investment servicing, retention, and fostering portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial plans for clients, taking into account their investment goals, risk tolerance, and financial situation.
  • Provide regular updates to clients on investment strategies, capital markets, and other aspects of their financial needs.
  • Work closely with clients to identify and address their financial planning needs, including retirement planning, estate planning, and tax planning.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Fidelity Canada team to provide a comprehensive range of financial services to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring clients receive the highest level of service and support.
  • Provide guidance and direction to junior team members, mentoring them to build a development pipeline.

Requirements

  • Completion of a University degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-7+ years of experience in investment management and financial planning, with a strong track record of success.
  • Strong investment management experience and financial planning experience, with a deep understanding of product structures, capital markets, and investments.
  • Bilingual in English/French is an asset.
  • Additional designations such as CFP, MBA are an asset.
  • Must be licensed as a Registered Representative (RR) and have the ability to sell both mutual funds and securities.
  • Registered as Portfolio Manager (PM) or ability to be licensed as one is an asset.
