Job Summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled Capital Planning Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our Corporate and Capital Planning Branch, you will play a critical role in providing planning support to our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Alberta Health Services and Alberta Infrastructure to develop project business cases and programming studies, ensuring alignment with Ministry priorities, goals, objectives, and strategic directions.
  • Analyze capital plans, master plans, service plans, needs assessments, business cases, and programming studies to prepare recommendations for project approval.
  • Support Directors and Managers in planning projects and preparing health submissions for the government capital planning process.
  • Provide documentation support for project announcements, news releases, government correspondence, capital plan announcements, and requests for additional project funding.
  • Participate in project committees and sub-committees to ensure compliance with health policy, standards, and guidelines.
  • Monitor and report on projects in the planning stages, identifying issues and recommending solutions to advance projects.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to resolve project issues and prepare briefings and written responses to Action Requests.
  • Manage or support the management of capital grants and contracts.
