Dufferin Aggregates, a leading supplier of aggregates for the construction industry in Ontario, is seeking a skilled Millwright to join their team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment in proper operating condition through preventative and corrective maintenance, as well as providing support during breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain equipment in proper operating condition through preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Provide support during breakdowns
  • Responsible for project work (process and/or continuous improvement, reliability) and part of the annual shut-down team responsible for overhauls
  • Troubleshoot and maintain (repair, overhaul, install, replace) of Ready-Mix concrete production equipment
  • Welding, cutting, brazing using different techniques and with different metals
  • Hoisting and Rigging knowledge required
  • Housekeeping duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Valid industrial Millwright License
  • Completed Millwright Apprenticeship
  • Ability to obtain structural Welding certificate
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Bearing lubrication, application, removal, and installation processes
  • Welding, cutting, brazing using different techniques and with different metals
  • Hoisting and Rigging knowledge required. Identify, select, and inspect proper techniques.
  • Ability to work outdoors and varied temperatures and weather conditions
