About the Role

Miette Mountain Cabins is seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to join our team. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable stay for all visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and provide information on hotel facilities and services.
  • Complaint Resolution: Investigate and resolve guest complaints and claims in a professional and timely manner.
  • Room Management: Take, cancel, and change room reservations, and maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Customer Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and contact customers to deliver requested wake-up calls.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, including faxing, filing, and photocopying.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Work Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30-40 hours per week.
Work Environment

The Front Desk Agent will work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, and will be required to work under pressure to meet the needs of our guests.

Computer and Technology Skills
  • Multi-line Switchboard: Proficient in using a multi-line switchboard system.
  • Word Processing Software: Experienced in using word processing software.
  • Database Software: Familiar with database software.
  • Computerized Bookkeeping System: Knowledge of computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Central Reservation System (CRS): Experienced in using a central reservation system.
  • Internet: Proficient in using the internet.
