We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital in Penticton, BC.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising designated staff, planning menus, and developing recipes according to nutritional and therapeutic diet needs of patients/residents. They will also be responsible for estimating food requirements, ordering and receiving supplies, and resolving discrepancies with suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of designated staff
  • Plan and develop menus and recipes according to nutritional and therapeutic diet needs
  • Estimate food requirements and order supplies
  • Resolve discrepancies with suppliers
  • Monitor expenditures and make recommendations regarding budget allocations
  • Evaluate meals served to ensure established standards of quality and quantity are maintained
  • Coordinate meal preparation, pricing, and other related duties for community-based services
  • Assist in coordinating and maintaining facility in-house services
  • Perform recommended audits to ensure established food service and quality assurance standards are met
