Your Role:
We are seeking a dynamic ICT consultant to enhance our expanding, multi-disciplinary team. The role involves crafting various ICT systems adhering to TIA/EIA/BICSI standards and industry best practices. You will provide comprehensive technical support for qualified Stantec projects and ensure effective service delivery to our clients. Success in this position will be measured by high client satisfaction levels, effective on-site service, technical support, and collaboration with contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design ICT systems for diverse environments, including detailed pathway layouts, low voltage device plans, telecommunications outlet drawings, and technical specifications. The technology systems encompass Electronic Security Systems, Structured Cable Systems, Paging Systems, Wireless Systems, and Data Network Systems.
- Manage design development and documentation in both written and computer-aided design formats.
- Prepare ICT tender documentation and specifications for various facilities, including commercial, healthcare, industrial, institutional, and public sectors.
- Conduct ICT Project Management activities, including site visits, customer discovery meetings, on-site assessments, and deliverables review.
- Act as a technical resource for Field Engineers and other team members, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with internal and external clients to develop engineering projects.
- Draft proposals and cost estimates.
- Conduct design reviews to ensure compliance with Stantec Consulting Ltd. and client standards.
Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian electrical standards and codes.
- Familiarity with TIA/BICSI standards and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing abilities.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in electrical engineering, coupled with a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in ICT.
The position primarily involves working in an office environment with extended periods of computer use. Fieldwork may require exposure to various weather conditions.
