Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Intermediate to Senior Bridge Project Manager to oversee projects within our Transportation Structures Department in Calgary, AB. Our Western Canada Bridge Group has seen remarkable growth, and we are eager to welcome talented engineers to enhance our capabilities and deliver exceptional services to our clients throughout Alberta and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and/or direct the design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and foundation engineering projects.
  • Conduct analysis, design, prepare tender documents, perform visual inspections, generate reports, estimate costs, and provide construction engineering services.
  • Prepare proposals and assist in developing client relationships.
  • Mentor junior staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a P.Eng. designation with APEGA or eligibility for transfer.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, ideally within the Bridge Consulting Engineering sector.
  • A Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to organize, coordinate, and manage projects, ensuring quality, budget adherence, schedule compliance, and technical deliverables throughout all project phases.
  • Exceptional report writing skills.
  • Familiarity with CHBDC and Alberta Transportation design standards, as well as construction specifications and project delivery processes, is beneficial.
  • Experience with City of Calgary and City of Edmonton design standards is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to teamwork.
  • Experience with software such as CSiBridge, SAP2000, Midas, SFrame, AutoCAD, and similar tools is an asset.
  • Experience in Design-Build or P3 projects is advantageous.
  • Experience serving as a Contract Administrator overseeing bridge construction projects is a plus.
