Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management and design management for bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and foundation engineering tasks.
  • Conduct analysis, design, prepare tender packages, perform visual inspections, and compile reports and cost estimates.
  • Assist in proposal development and foster client relationships.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members.

Required Qualifications:

  • Possession of a P.Eng. designation with APEGA or eligibility for transfer.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, ideally within the Bridge Consulting Engineering sector.
  • A Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is advantageous.
  • Proven capability to organize, coordinate, and manage projects effectively, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and timely delivery throughout all project phases.
  • Strong report writing abilities.
  • Familiarity with CHBDC and Alberta Transportation design standards is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of City of Calgary and City of Edmonton design standards is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to teamwork.
  • Experience with software such as CSiBridge, SAP2000, Midas, SFrame, and AutoCAD is advantageous.
  • Experience in Design-Build or P3 projects is a plus.
  • Experience in the role of Contract Administrator for bridge construction projects is beneficial.
