In recent years, the receivables management industry has faced significant challenges, compelling both consumers and businesses to adapt. MJR Capital has not only successfully navigated these changes but has also expanded its operations. We are currently seeking to fill two Senior Manager positions to enhance our processes and performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager of Third Party Collections will be primarily responsible for overseeing a designated client group and managing a team of collection personnel and transfer agents.

This role involves fostering strong team-building relationships with collection staff, transfer agents, and various organizational support partners.

Utilizing a comprehensive suite of performance and productivity reports, the Senior Manager will conduct ongoing, data-driven coaching sessions with team members to ensure they consistently achieve daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.

As a vital point of contact for our partners and clients, the Senior Manager will collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for performance enhancement, resource allocation, and growth.

Qualifications:
  • A thorough understanding of client directives, service expectations, and performance benchmarks.
  • Experience in coaching staff on Canadian federal and provincial regulatory policies, as well as client and MJR service and policy standards.
  • Engagement with senior leadership to formulate effective collection strategies, identify growth opportunities, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in third-party collections.
  • At least 2 years of experience in managing and mentoring staff.
  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate collection teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing debt collection strategies.
  • Experience in managing dialer technologies and contact strategies.
  • Proven track record in measuring collection performance within a competitive environment.
  • Experience in recruiting collection personnel.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on understanding performance drivers and implementing continuous improvement strategies in collaboration with support teams (e.g., HR, IT, Client Services, Legal, Compliance, QA, Senior Leadership).
  • Familiarity with DRS and/or Debtmaster collection platforms is advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus.
  • An understanding of the legal process related to collections is beneficial.

The Senior Manager of Third Party Collections will report directly to MJR's Senior Vice President.
