Role Summary:
Join our Retail Sales Function as a Senior Manager leading the Customer Insights Team. This position serves as a strategic partner across various departments, focusing on the development of category insights and best practices that foster profitable growth solutions for our customers and the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate functional thought leadership by effectively translating consumer needs into actionable marketing and commercial strategies.
- Collaborate in a team environment to create, assess, and enhance the annual operating plan (AOP), ensuring the consumer's voice is represented.
- Analyze secondary research materials to extract and communicate key insights relevant to the business unit.
- Influence retail partners and decision-makers to drive growth through strategic recommendations on assortment, merchandising, promotions, and pricing.
- Provide analytical support for strategic marketing initiatives.
- Develop and maintain sales performance scorecards utilizing customer-specific point of sale (POS) systems to track consumption and shopper metrics.
- Prepare insightful presentations for the Sales team to address business challenges.
- Conduct internal team meetings and engage with senior leadership to align on objectives.
- Coordinate training sessions on third-party POS systems for team members.
- Utilize JDA software to support the team with planogram designs based on strategies and customer feedback.
- Build collaborative relationships with key customer contacts to lead initiatives related to shelving, assortment, and planogram proposals.
- Manage relationships with third-party providers for planogram production.
Operational Management:
- Oversee the expense budget, including travel and third-party contracts.
- Ensure effective communication within the team.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in category management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience with a wide range of research tools and methodologies.
- Proficient in PC applications, including MS Office and Nielsen solutions.
- Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
- Excellent leadership and relationship-building skills.
