Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Business Operations to join our team at North America Construction LTD. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our construction project activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Assume overall responsibility for the pre-development and execution of construction projects, including leadership to the operations department, senior client relations, managing construction budgets and schedules, selecting and managing contractors, and ensuring compliance.
  2. Operational Performance: Maximize operational performance and drive the achievement of production and financial goals, including identifying ways to increase profitability and decrease costs, analyzing financial reports, and preparing operating budgets.
  3. Leadership and Team Management: Exemplify leadership qualities by showing direction, support, and motivation of staff, lead, guide, direct, and evaluate the work of employees within departments of responsibility, foster a positive and healthy working environment, and coach, motivate, and develop the project team for succession planning.
  4. Client Relations: Represent North America Construction LTD, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions, and assist in dispute resolution for issues that require assistance outside of the project level.
  5. Strategic Decision-Making: Play a key role in long-term strategic decision-making processes that affect the organization's vision and profitability by working closely with the Executive Team.
Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  2. Experience: Project management experience, including all elements of scope, schedule, cost, risk, quality, resources, and communications (5-10 years).
  3. Skills: Self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines, excellent communication skills - both oral, written, and via emails, strong negotiation skills, ability to effectively make sound decisions under tight deadlines, and ability to organize, plan, and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
