Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate and confidential medical records, reports, and requests for analysis
- Coordinate communication with healthcare professionals and patients
- Provide administrative support to physicians and healthcare teams
- Manage and maintain filing systems and databases
- Assist with data entry and record-keeping
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure smooth operation of medical records
- Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- One (1) year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and independently
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
- Fluency in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset
Working Conditions
- May be required to work occasional extra hours outside of regular shift for projects
- May be required to travel occasionally within the territory and in other points of service
- Telework may be available
