This role involves preparing and maintaining accurate and confidential medical records, reports, and requests for analysis, as well as coordinating communication with healthcare professionals and patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate and confidential medical records, reports, and requests for analysis
  • Coordinate communication with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Provide administrative support to physicians and healthcare teams
  • Manage and maintain filing systems and databases
  • Assist with data entry and record-keeping
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure smooth operation of medical records
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • One (1) year of relevant experience in a healthcare setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and independently
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations
  • Fluency in English; fluency in Cree or French is an asset

Working Conditions

  • May be required to work occasional extra hours outside of regular shift for projects
  • May be required to travel occasionally within the territory and in other points of service
