About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Interior Finisher Helper to join our team at EMT Contractor Division Inc. as part of our construction site operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials from vehicles and equipment.
  • Material Preparation: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform routine maintenance work and clean up chemical spills and other contaminants on the construction site.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Finishing Work: Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster, and tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Compound Application: Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Work Site Environment: The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced, noisy, and dusty environment.
  • Physical Capabilities: The role requires the ability to work in a repetitive task environment, with attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Weight Handling: The candidate should be able to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and be willing to work in a variety of settings.
  • Transportation: The successful candidate should have a valid driver's license and own transportation.
