About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Interior Finisher Assistant to join our team at EMT Contractor Division Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the quality of our work.
  • Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites to ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Apply, level, and smooth coats of plaster to achieve a high-quality finish.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound to ensure a strong bond.
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish.
Work Environment

As an Interior Finisher Assistant, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.

Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation to and from job sites.
  • Hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, and gloves to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Reliability, accuracy, and a hardworking attitude to ensure the quality of our work.
