We are seeking a skilled Interior Finishing Assistant to join our team at EMT Contractor Division Inc. as part of our construction team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the finishing of interior construction projects, including loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials, mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt, and performing routine maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
  • Mixing, pouring, and spreading materials such as concrete and asphalt
  • Performing routine maintenance work
  • Cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants
  • Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Applying, leveling, and smoothing coats of plaster
  • Taping over joints using a taping machine and embedding tape in compound
  • Applying successive coats of compound and sanding seams and joints
Requirements:
  • Valid driver's license
  • Own transportation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a noisy and dusty environment, with the possibility of relocation to various locations.
